Name: Brittane Rowe
Hometown: Grand Rapids, MI
Education: BFA in Theatre at Michigan State University Go Green!
Who do you play in The Mysteries?: Angel Chorus
Tell us about The Mysteries: The Bible retold by some of the best playwrights around, in a modern and exciting party atmosphere.
Describe The Mysteries in three words: Sexy, Exhilarating, Biblical
What's the wildest costume you wear in The Mysteries?: I play a mummy where I wear a pair of long johns covered from head to toe in little white strips of cloth that have been doused in black light paint.
If you could be anyone from The Bible, who would you be?: An Egyptian Princess for sure, pampering realness
Most likely to become an angel?: Dominque Brillon, she has been accepted by the angel chorus and girl can even sang some gospel. YASSSSSS
Which company member is most likely to actually have lived during Biblical times?: AJ Ditty
Which company member is most likely to be the Messiah?: Definitely our stage manager Kara, I don't know how she does it all and still has a smile on her face. She is literally a God send
Most likely to hear voices in their head?: Xan Russell. What I wouldn't give for an hour on planet Xan.
Who's the most spiritual?: Rebecca Rad
On the 8th day god said_____: Now somebody do a 6 hour long play about all this stuff I just created.
Are you going to heaven or hell?: Heaven duh
Which of the Seven Deadly Sins are you?: Sloth or lust or gluttony idk probably all of them haha
What's the biggest inside joke at The Mysteries?: "More microwaved baby acting" "Yaassssssssssss""WERK""Ned, you must open a restaurant in Tribeca immediately""screlt like a flagellating llama" basically anything funny Ed says.
What's your favorite moment from The Mysteries?: I love singing "His Eye Is on The Sparrow" with Jessie Macbeth, its one of my all time favorite songs. Also, any scenes with all the apostles, they are hilarious together.
What is the most rewarding part about being a member of The Mysteries?: Seeing the passion all of these artists put into their work is so inspiring. It gives you endurance to perform a 6 hour long show 5 times a week because these actors are incredibly talented, sweet and genuinely fun to be around.
Why should we come see The Mysteries?: When else are you going to have a chance to experience the greatest story ever told in an intimate theatre while eating a falafel, watching a cast of 54 make out to a gospel song in their underwear.
